在英國本土已經醞釀了大半年的South Londoner Jessie Ware終於推出首張大碟【Devotion】，大碟一出當然取得更多國際注目，絕對是這個夏天的新音樂才女，繼Lana Del Ray後。

從Jessie Ware身上就是將dubstep 等電氣化融入美式Soul唱法，所以在《110%》我們聽到她可以又做Lilly Allen 又突然變Adele式演唱，很是神奇。聽了她的單曲聽了大半年，之前還不太肯定這個女子讓怎樣形容。早前還跟朋友介紹說，喂，英國版新Lykke Li式電子才女呀，說得很錯。因為其實Jessie Ware就如其他一眾South London的音樂人一樣，有種posh高貴「血脈」，單看其MV便知道，你還以為是Made in Chelsea 班friends。所以我覺得要取用一個雜誌式吸引眼球用字，我會說她是The British answer to Lana del Ray更適合。

看她最新MV《Wildest Moments》，又再再再再再再再再再再再再再再再再再再再再一次証明，一個出色MV，其實不關成本的事。是創意，是美學水平，是歌曲本身。

我敢說，Elton John vs Pnau這張【Good Morning to the Night】真係意想不到地又懷舊又新潮。其實早在收音機聽單曲《Sad》一輪，但不認真聽也沒有留意。到今日唱片正式推出，聽下聽下，哇，我相信係其中一張老一輩歌手同新一輩歌手合作最成功的一個project。我真係估唔到歸於最老土最傳統pop的Elton John 會響六十幾歲時忽然會咁潮，你會想像到響舞池聽到呢張碟的歌時會幾興奮！
Elton John你當然識啦，但Pnau就未必知。 來自澳洲的Pnau其實是二人電子跳舞duo，由Nick Littlemore 及Peter Mayes組成。而Nick 就係澳洲紅到爆組合 Empire of the Sun的一子。

單聽單曲《Sad》你已經覺得神奇，屬於Elton John 那個年代的keyboard riff 及melody 但卻出現如在未來城市一般的fuzzy riff及節奏中。再正係用o既聲又有真又有電，又有極度懷舊的brass 但你又好似star trek咁的感覺。哇，好鬼好聽o者。成張碟都係類似感覺，surreal 後現代，十分神奇迷幻，睇埋你就知有幾正，睇佢點玩舊電影同蒙太奇(montage)同埋elton john個iconic 就知正。look

英倫樂團Mystery Jets新碟【Radlands】基本上首首好聽，有一貫的懷舊及的好玩外，亦有那份像回到brit pop 時期的樂團的氣質。當然，最新單曲《Greatest Hits》便係其中一首我聽得十分高興的作品，老土其實唔一定要用最老土手法玩，呢首歌就既老土又玩味又有廿一世紀guitar pop 的味道。內容就其實有d 似The Divine Comedy的《Indie Disco》，一樣好玩。

真正踏入夏天，這個星期天氣好得要命。夏天真的是需要配合夏天音樂，不然夏天就會變得悶悶熱熱，沒有生氣。來自英國的Cornershop 新碟【Urban Turban】正正是這個夏天的最好的消暑良方。

如果對Cornershop認識不深的，大概可以從其名字先了解。Cornershop其實即是像士多一樣的店舖，但通常在街角處，在英國十分流行，而通常店主都是亞洲人。那Cornershop為何要叫Cornershop，就是因為亞洲血統的他們玩的是印度與電子音樂的結合，不只funky好玩，更是古怪過癮。

最新大碟【Urban Turban】由《What Did The Hippie Have In His Bag?》作帶頭單曲及專輯的opener，加上小朋友和唱，我在電台時已經聽到十分高興，現在終於可以鍾意就聽，就更加高興。

讀Guardian Band of the Day看到英國新名字Mozart Parties，將作品結集為電子EP【The Memory Thunderstorm EP】免費供人家download。但哈哈，一定係Guardian的威力，令該download page 死了……慢慢等。

Paul Lester作者用lo-fi chillwave Spector-pop來label《Where Has Everybody Gone?》。唔，確實係lofi 又chillwave，但果種矇矇的聲音及低音聲牆讓我想起當時得令的John Maus，不過此曲又開心又低沉的對撞真係好神奇。只能講23歲的James Bennett 相信前途無可限量。

今天下了今年冬天的第一次雪。

不過，其實是很弱雞的雨雪。

很久沒update 我的長角了，不是因為懶惰(其實也有一點)，而是因為很多東西要處理，my status is literally shit.

最近都只在聽收音機，真正自己播的音樂少之又少。不過今天看到BBC Sounds 2012的名單了，那就去聽一下這些音樂新動力。

還未聽哂，但Spector榜上有名其實就如上年James Blake的榜上有名一樣，因為都係已經在唔同媒體被hyped被講了。記得老早之前聽《Never Fade Away》時已經覺得有趣，Never Fade Away，是一個很勁的statement，很具力量亦有一種很混亂的思緒。再聽最新單曲《Grey Shirt and Tie》，唔，難怪被會被人扣上Roxy Music x Killer x The Strokes這些名字。其實還是很重的Shoegaze的味道，不過整個手法及表達便有不一樣的浪費感覺，感覺有點像北歐dreamy電音撞上英國brit pop，很妙。(不過MV 尾段的footage 竟然係瑞典文…諗返其實成個mv 都頗北歐)

單看宣傳照以為他們的形象又是另一隊indie hipster，怎知來自East London 的他們原來都喜歡西裝上陣，有點posh，或者真是想學Roxy的形象吧？至於主意Fred Macpherson原來已經在MTV當過主持，台上的他被形容為光鮮愛打扮的Jarvis Cocker，哼，目前為止，都係等Spector 出左張Debut Album 再討論。種種跡象，加埋下年support Florance and the Machibne，佢地gonna be big。
